DeSoto ISD, PROCEDEO, Hellas Construction, students, and community members gathered to commemorate the groundbreaking of the district's athletic field improvements, officially launching construction under the 2025 Bond Program. The event celebrated the start of the tennis and indoor practice facility improvements, representing the first phase of the district's planned athletic enhancements.

The DeSoto High School Indoor Practice Facility is now under construction. The demolition of the existing turf is complete. The project scope includes new turf and striping.

DeSoto ISD, in partnership with PROCEDEO and WRA Architects, hosted a Community Charrette at Moates Elementary on May 25 and June 3. Parents, educators, and district leaders participated in interactive discussions and visioning activities to help shape ideas for a future-ready campus. Feedback gathered during these sessions will help guide the next phase of the design process.
